The Book of Judges recalls the history of God’s people after they entered the Promised Land. During this period of history they were ruled by chosen men of God who spoke with a prophetic voice.

This study is part of the LifeLight Bible study series of in-depth studies of Bible books. The goal of LifeLight is that through a regular program of in-depth personal and group study of Scripture, more and more Christian adults may grow in their personal faith in Jesus Christ. The sessions are as follows:

Session 1: An Everlasting Covenant
Session 2: God Is in Charge
Session 3: Three Helping One Another
Session 4: Power Made Perfect in Weakness
Session 5: Paying for Wickedness
Session 6: A Foolish Vow
Session 7: O Mirror of Our Fickle State!

Baptism is not a mere symbol of rebirth. It is not a choice or a prize for attaining a certain amount of faith.

Lutheranism 101: Holy Baptism gives an overview of what Baptism is, what it does, how it does it, and what it means for our lives now and into the future. Throughout, it emphasizes that the One doing the baptizing makes all the difference. Like the original book, Lutheranism 101: Baptism will never get too far away from the reality that it is all about Jesus.

The Wired Word class uses questions and Scripture considerations from current events, topics, and happenings in the United States and around the world as a basis for adult, intelligent and provocative discussions. It’s Greek to me….and Jesus and the New Testament church! Join us Mondays from 5-6p and Saturdays from 9-10a  in the Ministry Center  with Vicar as we learn the language of the Gospels. This twice weekly class will provide members with an introduction to reading Greek, basic grammar, and study of select passages in the New Testament. Learning another language is great brain exercise!
