Our Programs
Our infant program provides care for children from birth through 12 months of age. The ratio of children to caregivers is 4:1. The maximum number of children in the room is 12. Staff members in the infant program are chosen for their love of the Lord and children, and they have been trained specifically for infant care.
Children at this age are nurtured in their development through a loving, trusting, and interactive environment. The room is equipped with many age-appropriate toys, which are designed to stimulate exploration, discovery, growth, and development. The children quickly learn the routine of the room and enjoy learning to play with others. Weather permitting, the infants enjoy outdoor play and stroller rides. The children advance to the transition room at approximately 12 months of age.
Our transition-age program provides care for children from approximately 12 months to age 2. The ratio of children to caregivers is 4:1. The maximum number of children in the room is 12. The days are organized by a planned theme of the week that includes circle time, stories, finger plays, Jesus time, art, games, outdoor play, movement, sensory experiences, and other hands-on activities. Talking, listening, and singing with these children is essential for their language development.
As part of their day, the children will continue to learn and practice self-help skills and social relationships. Children need to learn to wash and dry their hands, put away their toys, and learn to make choices. While doing all these things,s your child will be building adult and peer relationships. We want them to develop positive friendships and interactions with others. They will continue to learn how to follow simple directions. The children start the process of learning how to share materials. They will also learn about self-control and how to join activities. There is a bathroom in the classroom,m and toilet training can be introduced as children show signs of readiness.
Snack is provided in the morning and the afternoon as part of your child's tuition. During the school year, hot lunch is an option at an additional cost. The children transition into our Adventurers Room (3's Plus) program once they are 3 years old and are toilet-trained.

Curriculum and Special Events
The One in Christ Curriculum is used each day for our Jesus Time, which revolves around a different Bible story each week. As part of this curriculum, we also meet weekly in the church for a chapel geared just for preschool children. Play is still a critical aspect of growth and development because, for children, it is a major avenue for gaining understanding of our world. Through indoor and outdoor free-choice play, children learn to work and play well with others. Snack is provided in the morning and the afternoon as part of your child's tuition for both the Adventurers and the Explorers. During the school year, hot lunch is an option at an additional cost. Field trips are also included in the cost of tuition. Each class has unique destinations that they travel to each year. We use Berrien Bus to transport our classes to destinations like Stovers, Barbotts, Sarrett Nature Center, the Coast Guard station, and many more. We also walk to places like the Curious Kids Museum, the carousel, and Kilwins. We have several annual events as well. We have a Harvest Party, Dad’s Night, Mother’s Day Tea, Grandparents’ Day, a Christmas program, and an annual end of the year picnic.
