Our Commitment to Families

At Trinity, we support families in nurturing their children’s spiritual growth and development through Christian education and community involvement. We understand the importance of providing a strong Christian foundation for children, especially in partnership with parents.

We believe parents play a vital role in guiding their children’s faith journey, and we are here to walk alongside you every step. At Trinity, we offer a range of enriching programs and ministries tailored to meet the needs of children at different stages of their development.

CHILDREN’S SUNDAY SCHOOL (Preschool through 4th Grade)

Children’s Sunday school will meet at 9:30 am with an opening in the Gymnasium. We will then move to the Children’s Ministry Room on the lower level (next to the Fellowship Hall). Join us in learning from the Bible about God’s love for us. We’re excited to dive into God’s Word together! Baptism at Trinity.

We believe that salvation comes by God’s grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ alone, with faith originating from hearing God’s Word (Rom. 10:17). Baptism, commanded by Jesus, is seen as a means of grace that, along with God’s Word, creates and strengthens faith (Matt. 28:19-20). This faith can begin at any age, including infancy, as the Bible indicates that infants can believe (Matt. 18:6) and experience regeneration through Baptism (John 3:5-7). Although infant faith cannot be verbally expressed, it is considered real and needs nurturing through God’s Word (Matt. 28:18-20). Faith can also arise in those who hear or read God’s Word, with Baptism following conversion to confirm and strengthen faith (Acts 8:26-40). While Baptism is not deemed absolutely necessary for salvation, as faith alone is essential (Mark 16:16), it should not be neglected, as it is a powerful means of grace instituted by God.

The Trinity Youth Ministry is a Christ-centered ministry that supports the diverse spiritual needs of youth and their families. Activities and programs will focus on building relationships, first with Jesus Christ and also with parents, family members, and one another. Guided by the Holy Spirit, we will encourage faith and facilitate outreach activities in our community and beyond.

6TH-8TH GRADE CONFIRMATION (PUBLIC SCHOOL)

There is no regular class. Students are using the "Guided By Truth" confirmation journal and will meet with their confirmation mentor throughout the year. Please contact Pastor Micheel with questions or if you missed orientation and need to get materials.

“Revelation” Join Pastor Micheel on Tuesday evenings as we walk through the book of Revelation using the Journeys Through God’s Word series. The Journeys Through God’s Word series examines how different books of the Bible establish important themes, and how they relate to each other. What truth does Revelation provide for the future? Learn the meaning of the symbols. Experience comfort in the words. Find answers to many of the questions people ask. There is no cost for this study. All study materials will be provided. Please bring your Bible.

ADULT BIBLE STUDY “OUR PRAYER: MESSY OR MESSIANIC?” A study of the Lord’s Prayer. I was young; it was hard to wait a whole week. Dad had promised ice cream. I ran into my parents’ bedroom. “Can I have my ice cream, you promised!” “Son,” he siad, “It’s 7 in the morning.” 12 hours later I did get my ice crea, with sprinkles, chocolate syrup, butterscotch syrup & whipped cream. I got it all over my shirt plus a whopping stomachache. Our prayers to the Father can be messy; but the Lord’s Prayer is Messicanic. It is full of promise as we say God’s Word back to God.

Women's Ministry

The Women’s Ministry at Trinity provides a wide range of opportunities for women to deepen their faith, serve their community, and build strong, supportive relationships. With regular gatherings that include prayer, Bible study, and fellowship, women can find spiritual growth and encouragement. There are also service projects and volunteer opportunities that allow women to make a tangible impact both locally and globally. Special events throughout the year offer times for reflection, celebration, and building connections with other women. Whether through ongoing programs or one-time events, the Women’s Ministry at Trinity is dedicated to helping women grow in their faith and support each other in their spiritual journeys.

Lutheran Women in Mission (LWML)

The Lutheran Women in Mission have a passion for bringing the lost into eternal fellowship with our Lord Jesus by being obedient to His call for workers in the harvest field and offering our hands, feet, voice, and silver and gold to extend His Kingdom both at home and abroad. Any woman of confirmation age may join the LWML. One of the easiest ways to help is to pick up a money collection box, called a mite box and bring a full box back to the church office. Men's Ministry

The Men’s Ministry at Trinity is dedicated to fostering spiritual growth, building community, and serving others. Men engage in activities that deepen their faith, support outreach efforts, and provide practical assistance to those in need. Through various service projects, fellowship opportunities, and spiritual development programs, the ministry encourages men to use their talents to make a positive impact both within the church and in the broader community.

MUSIC MINISTRY

Contemporary Praise Team - Practice will be held weekly. You can participate as often as you would like; you don’t have to sing every Sunday. If you are interested in joining, please contact Lisa Dove for more information (lisaldove@gmail.com).

Adult Choir Wednesday, 6:30 p.m. – 7:45 p.m. All persons high school age and older are welcome. Non-members are welcome. Persons unable to attend every week or who wish to sing only during holidays are welcome. With respect to Sunday Services, the choir typically sings at one service on two or three Sundays per month. This year, something new --- a Sunday afternoon Christmas Concert. With choral music, it’s always a great time! Some voice instruction is provided. Often, a person will say, “I can’t sing.” Not to worry. With a few tips on using one’s voice and being in the company of other singers, the inability to sing usually fades quickly. Handbell Ensemble Mondays, 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. We plan to meet most Mondays in February until Easter. Last season, we welcomed five new ringers --- first-timers --- wonderful! Many congregation members were inspired while hearing the bells. Consider joining our Handbell group for the Easter cycle. Music reading is not required,d but is helpful. Ringers don’t have to be members of Trinity --- as everyone in Grade 9 and above is welcome. Please contact Pastor Rutter [david.rutter@discovertrinity.org] for more information or to enroll.

Brass Ensemble Players of brass instruments are encouraged to contact Pastor Rutter. The Brass Ensemble usually plays on Easter Sunday and Pentecost Sunday. Practices occur once for 90 minutes before each Festival Service, usually on a Saturday morning. Our congregation has been blessed for many years, including this past season, with excellent brass players. More players are always welcome. [david.rutter@discovertrinity.org]

Weekly Wednesday Prayer Meeting

Join Pastor Rutter in an evolving group interested in praying for individuals and for community, national, and worldwide needs. The Meetings will begin with a Scripture Reading and will conclude with the various requests of the group. The Pastor will normally lead the prayers. A take-home sheet of various prayer needs will be available each week. We’re planning to hold this Prayer Meeting year-round --- possibly breaking at the time of Christmas. God answers the prayers of His people. Many blessings result when God’s people gather to pray.

Stephen Ministries Mission: Christ caring for people through people.

Stephen Ministries is planning to hold a training session for new Stephen Ministers in January. Has God been calling you to serve others through a caring ministry? Applications for training may be picked up at the church office or from a Leader.

Stephen Ministers are members of our congregation who receive special training to provide one-to-one Christian care to people experiencing challenges in life- such as grief, loneliness, divorce, job loss, anxiety, and many other life difficulties. God didn’t plan for you to have to carry the burdens of life by yourself! Let our Stephen Ministers walk with you!
