Robyn Adams is the Early Childhood Center Director. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Concordia College in Ann Arbor. She also has her Early Childhood Endorsement from Siena Heights University. Robyn has taught grades 2, 5, & 6 as well as extensive substitute teaching in all grades preschool through fourth. She was most recently the Director at Freedom Childcare Center in Ann Arbor Michigan. She is married to Doug and has 5 children ages 7-14. When not at Trinity, she enjoys spending time reading and with her family.
Tracie began working at Trinity shortly after her family moved to Saint Joseph in 2008. She has her Master’s Degree from Central Michigan University and has over 20 years of experience in working with children and families.
Tracie left a career in child protection/family services to dedicate her energies to her family when her first child was born. After her children were in school, Mrs. Berghaus began working as a teacher’s aid in Kindergarten and Preschool and taught 3’s and 4’s for a year before serving in the position of Office Assistant. She has a passion for ministry, especially in the area of Early Childhood and has been active in Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Mothers of Preschoolers and women’s ministry. She is married to Marty and has two children. Her family loves geocaching, sandy beaches, and family bike rides.
Young 5's Teacher
Rachel was born in Battle Creek, MI and lived in Union City until her dad received a call to St. John Lutheran Church in Napoleon, Ohio. She attended St. John Lutheran School from Kindergarten through 8th grade. Rachel’s mom became a Kindergarten teacher at St. John in 2002. Rachel went to Napoleon High School and then began her education at Concordia University in Ann Arbor, MI. After seeing her mom’s work, babysitting for many years, and working in an Early Childhood Center, Rachel knew she wanted to minister to God’s little lambs. In December 2017, Rachel graduated with a Bachelors of Language Arts in Elementary Education. She minored in Early Childhood Education and also received her Lutheran Teacher’s Diploma. At Concordia, God brought Rachel and Jakob together and they were married on June 16, 2018. Rachel and her husband Jake moved to St. Joseph in the beginning of August when he began his vicarage year at Trinity. In her free time, Rachel enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends playing board games and watching movies.
Traditional Preschool Teacher, 3 & 4 Year Olds
Becky Liebich joined the Trinity staff in 2015. She graduated from Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska with a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education in 2000. Since then, she has served children and their families in a variety of capacities, including teaching, aiding, leading Sunday school, VBS, children’s Christmas programs, and mommy and me classes. Becky enjoys spending time with her husband, Jonathan, and their two sons. She loves reading, playing board games, and spending time outdoors.
4's Preschool Teacher
Deb attended Cloud County Community College and also Butler College, both in Kansas. Deb also has a Child Development Associate credential. She has served children and their families in a variety of ways for more than 25 years including teaching, assisting, leading Girl Scouts and Army Family Readiness Groups, being a Parent coordinator for USNSCC Lake Michigan Division, leading children's Christmas programs,and VBS. Deb and her husband Paul have 7 daughters, and three grandchildren.They have lived in a variety of places stateside and abroad prior to his retirement from the Army. Deb enjoys spending time on the sideline cheering on her kids at their various sports and activities.Also, in her free time, Deb enjoys crafts, antiquing and "upcycling" and spending time in the kitchen, or around the table with family and friends.
3's Plus Preschool Teacher
Bonnie has served at Trinity in many different areas since 1992. She is currently our 3's Plus lead teacher. Bonnie went to Benton Harbor High School and then Lake Michigan College where she received an Associates Degree and then her CDA. She is married to her husband David Johnson. Together they have two children and five grandchildren. Julie (Johnson) and Anthony Pate have two children, and Brett and Ashley Johnson have three children.
Transition (1 Year Old) Lead Caregiver
My name is Kristin and I am the new lead in the Transition Room. I moved to Michigan from the Chicago area in January. I am very excited to be working here at Trinity. I am currently working on finishing my degree in Early Childhood Education. I have many early childhood classes that I took at the University of Nebraska. I have been working in the early childhood field for over 15 years. I have worked with children from birth through twelfth grade. I spent eight years as a special education assistant at the high school level.
Infant (6 Weeks - 12 Months) Lead Caregiver
Carrie is our infant lead teacher. She has attended Kellogg Community College. She is earning her Associate degree in Early Childhood Education. In her spare time she enjoys speding time with her family and loves to read.
