Preschool & Childcare

Trinity offers a unique full-time program that includes Preschool and Childcare in the same classroom.  These classes are offered year-round and are available from 6am to 6pm Monday through Friday.   These classrooms are newly renovated with new carpet, tile, cabinetry, and include bathrooms.

Adventurers (3-year-old) Program

This program is for children who turn 3 by December 1st and are toilet trained. The ratio of children to teachers is 10:1 with a maximum of 18 students in the class.  In this program the children experience a structured preschool program from 8am-11:30am each day of the week. Many units are taught which allow the children to learn about colors, shapes, early literacy, math concepts, and much more. The curriculum provides students with the opportunity to grow in the areas of spiritual, social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.

Explorers (4-year-old) Program

The Explorers class is for children who are 4 by December 1st and toilet trained. The ratio of children to teachers in this room is 12:1 with a maximum class size of 20 children. In this room the children experience a structured preschool program from 8am-11:30 each day of the week. The curriculum is designed for preparation for Young 5 and/or Kindergarten and includes opportunities for growth in all areas of development. Units are taught incorporating letters, numbers, science, social studies, music, art, and a variety of other necessary information for success in Young 5, Kindergarten, and beyond.

Curriculum and Special Events

The One in Christ Curriculum is used each day for our Jesus Time which revolves around a different Bible story each week. As part of this curriculum, we also meet weekly in the church for a chapel geared just for preschool children.

Play is still a critical aspect of growth and development because, for children, it is a major avenue for gaining understanding of our world. Through indoor and outdoor free choice play, children learn to work and play well with others.

Snack is provided in the morning and the afternoon as part of your child's tuition for both the Adventurers and the Explorers. During the school year, hot lunch is an option at an additional cost.

Field trips are also included in the cost of tuition.  Each class has unique destinations that they travel to each year.  We use Berrien Bus to transport our classes to destinations like Stovers, Barbotts, Sarrett Nature Center, the Coast Guard station and many more.  We also walk to places like Curious Kids Museum, the carousel and Kilwins.

We have several annual events as well.  We have a Harvest Party, Dad’s Night, Mother’s Day Tea, Grandparent’s Day, a Christmas program and an annual end of the year picnic.
